Error Code 100 with the message “Invalid Parameter” and Error User Title “Message Template is Being Deleted” occurs when you try to create a template that has the same name as a recently deleted template. The fix is to simply change the name of the template to something you haven’t used before and retry and you should be able to create templates.

Why You’re Seeing This Error?

This error usually shows up when you're trying to create a new message template using the same name as one you've recently deleted.

Even though the old template looks deleted from your end, Meta doesn’t completely erase it from their backend right away. Instead, its data is retained by Meta for about 30 days. During this time, if you try to reuse the same name for a new template, Meta blocks the request and throws this error.

How to Fix this Error?

The fix is simple. Just rename the template. Use a name that you haven’t used before (even for deleted templates). Try submitting it again, and this time, it should go through without any issues.

When naming templates, it’s a good idea to add a version or tag to the name if you're making changes (e.g., order_update_v2 or promo_offer_may). This helps avoid naming conflicts and keeps things organized in the long run.
